Abdel Salam throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Peterson.
Abdel Salam misses with a jab, cross combination.
Abdel Salam scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Peterson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Abdel Salam is fending him off so far but Peterson persists. Nope, Abdel Salam circles away and we're back to standing.

Abdel Salam drops Peterson with a beautiful combination! Peterson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Abdel Salam is looking for the KO!
Peterson wants to clinch up but Abdel Salam keeps it at a distance.

Abdel Salam lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Abdel Salam throws a series of punches but Peterson avoids them all with ease.
Peterson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Abdel Salam swivels and escapes.

Peterson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Abdel Salam's waist but Abdel Salam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peterson off to one side.
Mansur Abdel Salam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Peterson.
Abdel Salam displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Peterson.
Peterson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Peterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Abdel Salam sprawls well. He's pushed Peterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Abdel Salam misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Abdel Salam lands a left and a right that send Peterson crashing to the mat, dazed. Abdel Salam thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Abdel Salam batters Peterson with a massive right followed by a huge left! Peterson is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Abdel Salam lands a final crushing right hand to drop Peterson to the mat with a gruesome thud! Abdel Salam is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
