PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cabbage Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slev Muncrief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Face might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Monsta's Ball. Cabbage Face has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Slev Muncrief!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muncrief looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Face!
Face tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Face wants to get back to his feet.
Muncrief cracks Face with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The referee warns Face that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Face is squirming around, avoiding Muncrief's attempts to control the action.

Face bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Muncrief wants to sweep here but Face controlling him for the moment.

Face distracts Muncrief with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Face moves into the clinch.
Face wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Face turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Face manages to end up in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Face creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Muncrief is trying to improve his position.

Cabbage Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Face throws a series of punches but Muncrief avoids them all with ease.
Muncrief should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Muncrief walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Face has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Muncrief clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Face is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Muncrief has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Face connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Muncrief to escape the position.
