Carlton comes into the arena with Samael - Baphomets Throne blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Carlton!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Ulpius Traianus!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Traianus misses with a lunging right hand
and Carlton counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Traianus thinking.
Traianus moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Traianus takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


It looks like Marcus Ulpius Traianus has been cut.
Traianus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Traianus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carlton throws a shot from downtown. Traianus moves away and avoids it.
Carlton throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Carlton drops Traianus with a beautiful combination! Traianus stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carlton is looking for the KO!
Traianus throws a head kick but Carlton moves out of range.
Carlton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Traianus circles away quickly and effectively.
Carlton avoids a kick to the body.
Carlton looks to score with a jab to the body but Traianus is just out of range.
Traianus keeps the fight on the outside.
Carlton tries to clinch there but Traianus circles away.
Carlton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Traianus moves away.
Carlton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Traianus's head.


That has opened up Marcus Ulpius Traianus's cut even more.
Carlton tries to clinch up
and Traianus counters with a thumping low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Traianus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carlton.
Carlton takes a swing at Traianus's ribcage but misses.
Traianus scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kyle Carlton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carlton throws a right hand that misses
and Traianus counters with a nice leg kick.
Traianus avoids the body shot from Carlton.
Traianus throws a head kick but Carlton moves out of range.
Carlton lands a lovely overhand right.
Carlton wants to clinch.
Traianus lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carlton tries to clinch up but Traianus circles away and keeps his distance.
Carlton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Traianus paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carlton misses with a hook to the body
and Traianus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carlton avoids the head kick by Traianus.
Carlton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Traianus.

Carlton rushes Traianus and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Traianus goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Traianus misses with a hook to the ribs.
Traianus stalling in the clinch but Carlton improves position.
Traianus dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Traianus tries to break free but Carlton pushes him back against the cage.
Traianus presses Carlton against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Carlton tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Traianus blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Traianus takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Carlton lands an elbow inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Traianus is trying to maintain a safe position but Carlton gets an underhook and turns Traianus into the cage.
Carlton blocks a body shot from Traianus.
Carlton misses with some punches.
Traianus can't break the clinch.

Traianus breaks the clinch.
Carlton takes one to the chin there.
Carlton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Traianus moves away.
Nice shot lands for Carlton.


Marcus Ulpius Traianus's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marcus Ulpius Traianus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kyle Carlton!
Kyle Carlton is the new heavyweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Kyle Carlton thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
