Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stari Kruha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Alvares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruha has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvares wants to clinch.
Kruha tries to clinch up but Alvares circles away and keeps his distance.
Alvares looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kruha is fending him off so far but Alvares persists. Nope, Kruha circles away and we're back to standing.

Alvares darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Alvares wants to stand up but Kruha has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Kruha might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Despite being in the dominant position, Diego Alvares just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Alvares has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kruha is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alvares.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kruha on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kruha tries to get out of the position.

Alvares seems to be working for a kimura but Kruha defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Alvares drops back looking for a leg! Kruha is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kruha manages to kick Alvares off! Alvares jumps back into Kruha's guard.
