Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Livingston Barclay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TheRock Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obama has chosen The Realest Sport as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Livingston Barclay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, TheRock Obama!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obama takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Obama tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barclay sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Obama somewhat.

Obama feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Obama is looking to work some ground and pound but Barclay has wrist control.

Barclay has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Obama off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Barclay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Obama was well out of range. Poor timing from Barclay.

Obama throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barclay's waist but Barclay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Obama off to one side.
Barclay throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Obama closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barclay circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barclay will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Obama dives in and grabs Barclay's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barclay pushes down on Obama's head and hops out.

Barclay moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Obama has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Barclay avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Obama is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Barclay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barclay catches Obama with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Obama ducks right into an uppercut from Barclay.
Obama takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Obama misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Barclay stalks Obama and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Obama's face. Obama staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barclay lands with a kick to the temple. Obama shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Barclay lands a head kick. Obama smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Obama shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Barclay keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Livingston Barclay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama has a takedown stuffed.
TheRock Obama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Livingston Barclay showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barclay, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
