Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Dodd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Mccoshen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin Dodd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Mccoshen!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccoshen throws a wild body kick that Dodd sees coming a mile off.
Mccoshen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mccoshen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dodd tries a head kick but it misses.
Mccoshen throws a low kick, looking for Dodd's leg but Dodd calmly moves out of range.
Dodd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mccoshen gets a double leg takedown into Dodd's guard.
Mccoshen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Mccoshen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dodd off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Dodd throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mccoshen.
Dodd throws a right hand that Mccoshen ducks under and follows up with a left that Mccoshen also avoids with ease.

Mccoshen has Dodd up against the cage in a clinch.

Nice defenses there by Dodd.

Mccoshen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dodd sprawls well initially but Mccoshen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mccoshen decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dodd enables Mccoshen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dodd manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mccoshen wants to control from the top but Dodd keeps moving.
Mccoshen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Dodd wants to stand but Mccoshen is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dodd connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mccoshen. Mccoshen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Mccoshen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mccoshen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Austin Mccoshen.

Dodd gets tackled into the cage by Mccoshen. Mccoshen maintains the clinch.
Mccoshen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mccoshen wants a takedown but no success here.

Mccoshen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Dodd misses.
Dodd moves in looking to clinch but Mccoshen pushes him off.

Mccoshen shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mccoshen is breathing heavily.
Dodd is trying to stand.

Dodd pushes Mccoshen off looking to stand but Mccoshen dives back in and keeps control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Austin Mccoshen wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mccoshen throws a push kick but Dodd slaps the foot to one side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dodd fails to land with a series of punches.
Dodd throws a left and a right that both miss

and Mccoshen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dodd won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dodd stops Mccoshen from passing to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Austin Mccoshen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Mccoshen is pushing down on Dodd's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dodd is fighting to maintain full guard but Mccoshen has managed to sneak the leg through.

Benjamin Dodd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A decent looking cross lands there for Dodd.
Mccoshen shoots in but Dodd avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dodd wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mccoshen has him pressed against the cage.

Dodd looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Dodd shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mccoshen eats them both and turns towards Dodd to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Dodd moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Austin Mccoshen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mccoshen tries to clinch but Dodd is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Benjamin Dodd.
I think Mccoshen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
