The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nate misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gutz slips under a jab.
Nate dodges the punch combination from Gutz.
Gutz throws out a leg kick but Nate moves out of range and Gutz only half commits.
Gutz avoids the body shot from Nate.

A looping hook to the body misses from Nate. Gutz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nate lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nate fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gutz manages to avoid it.

Nate postures up in Gutz's guard and throws a big left but Gutz blocks it.

Nate wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gutz keeps working.
Gutz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nate on the ground.
Nate has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Nate is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gutz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nate cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Gutz is looking to improve his position but Nate isn't that keen on the idea.

Gutz is squirming around, avoiding Nate's attempts to control the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nate sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Gutz is breathing heavily.
Nate lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gutz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gutz looks to land a left hand but Nate moved out of range nicely.
Nate thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gutz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nate shoots for a double leg takedown but Gutz sprawls well. He's pushed Nate's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gutz looks to land a right hand but Nate moved out of range.

Gutz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nate manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Nate lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gutz!

A big strike lands for Nate! That's really hurt Gutz and he's turned his back - Nate keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Nate jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
