Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rene Requiestas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Kolor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rene Requiestas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Kolor!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Requiestas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kolor was well out of range. Poor timing from Requiestas.

Kolor fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Requiestas to the ground. Kolor is now in Requiestas's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kolor is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Requiestas wants to stand up but Kolor is controlling him.
Kolor passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Kolor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Requiestas to his feet.
Requiestas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kolor is looking to take a break and control but Requiestas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Requiestas pushes Kolor away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kolor gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Requiestas tries to bum rush Kolor with a series of wild strikes but Kolor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kolor has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Requiestas has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

I would not like to be Requiestas right now.

Even with his hooks in, Kolor manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kolor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Requiestas is trying to get back to his feet but Kolor has full control of the position and if anything, Requiestas has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Daniel Kolor is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Requiestas is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kolor.
