Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Austin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stone Cold Entrance. Johnson has chosen as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Austin.
Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Austin. Austin gets slowly back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Austin wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.

Austin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.

Austin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Johnson stacks Austin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Johnson!

Johnson scores with a couple of short elbows.
Austin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Austin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Austin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Austin wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Austin will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Austin avoids it really well and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Austin does a little dance to reset his feet.
