Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milan Diprivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shogun Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shogun Rua will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milan Diprivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shogun Rua!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diprivan looks to land a body kick but Rua moved away.
Diprivan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rua.
Diprivan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Diprivan leaves Rua with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rua takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Diprivan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rua's hands.
Diprivan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rua steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Diprivan.
Diprivan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Rua moves into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Diprivan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A lazy left from Rua finds it's target.
Rua fails with the takedown
and Diprivan counters with a slapping leg kick.
Rua looks gassed!
Rua fails to land with a series of punches.
Rua closes the distance and clinches up with Diprivan, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes Diprivan against the cage but Diprivan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Milan Diprivan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shogun Rua.
Diprivan thows a body kick. Rua tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Diprivan scores with a sloppy right hand. Rua should have avoided that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diprivan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rua has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Diprivan thuds his shin into the meat of Rua's side.
Diprivan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rua is trying desperately to land a takedown but Diprivan is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rua.
Rua wants to clinch
and Diprivan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diprivan throws an overhand right that drops Rua like a sack of potatoes! Diprivan dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Milan Diprivan!
