Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy The Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamotta comes into the arena with Survivor - Eye of the Tiger blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy The Kid!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Kid tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Lamotta lands a left and a right that send The Kid crashing to the mat, dazed. Lamotta thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lamotta keeps the fight on the outside.
Lamotta misses with an uppercut.
Lamotta throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lamotta fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lamotta swats away the attempt to clinch by The Kid.

The Kid tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lamotta paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lamotta throws a nice looking combination but The Kid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The Kid wants to clinch.
The Kid tries to clinch there but Lamotta circles away.
Lamotta tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lamotta throws a combination but it was largely blocked by The Kid.

The Kid forces Lamotta back against the cage and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
The Kid throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lamotta blocks it with crossed arms.

Lamotta seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but The Kid is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Lamotta lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The Kid tries to close the distance and clinch but Lamotta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lamotta feints a jab promting The Kid to slip. Lamotta then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. The Kid slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The Kid moves out of range of the body kick.
Lamotta lets loose with a powerful body kick. The Kid will feel that in the morning.
Lamotta swats away the attempt to clinch by The Kid.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Lamotta counters with a crisp one two that drops The Kid! Lamotta thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves The Kid to his feet! The Kid is in big trouble!

The Kid is rocked!
The Kid walks straight into a right hand from Lamotta - that's dropped him! Lamotta jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save The Kid from any more punishment! The Kid complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
