The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bonez walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hammer.
Chris bonez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
bonez misses with a straight left.
bonez scores a takedown into full mount!
Hammer tries to hold on but bonez pushes him away.
bonez working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hammer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
bonez throwing strikes but Hammer recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Hammer blocking the ground and pound attempt from bonez.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
bonez is trying to control the action in half guard but Hammer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
bonez not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hammer lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as bonez crumples to the floor! Hammer milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
