The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popov cracks Marion with an open hand slap.
Popov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Marion. Marion circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Popov clinches up against the cage.
Popov is trying to force a seperation but Marion has the dominant position.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Marion just misses with a elbow thrown towards Popov's brow.
Marion misses with an elbow strike.
Popov keeps control of Marion as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Popov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marion's efforts to push away.
Popov has Marion pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Marion manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Popov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marion.

Marion works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

The fighters circling - Marion throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Marion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marion throws a looping overhand right but Popov ducks down to avoid it.

Popov drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Popov seems to have locked his on tight now - Marion screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Popov, as he picks up the win!
