Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Del Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Del Angel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Del Angel has closed the distance and engaged Mitchell in a clinch.
Mitchell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Del Angel avoids it.
Mitchell tries to break the clinch but Del Angel is controlling the position.

Del Angel jumps guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mitchell looking to sit in guard and control but Del Angel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Del Angel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mitchell wants to stand up but Del Angel is controlling him.
Del Angel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mitchell has his foot on Del Angel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Del Angel works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricardo Mitchell will probably get the nod.

Del Angel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mitchell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Del Angel has managed to get both his arms back between Mitchell's legs - danger averted.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Diego Del Angel hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
