The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Alverez.
Good exchange - Alverez coming out on top.
Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Alverez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gracie throws a right and a left that Alverez avoids nicely.
Alverez slips under a jab.
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Alverez defends it nicely.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
and Alverez counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Gracie! He's just covering up as Alverez starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
