Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wrestling Bot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Adamson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wrestling Bot had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wrestling Bot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Adamson!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Adamson lands but Bot takes it in his stride.


It looks like Wrestling Bot has been cut.
Bot swings for the body but Adamson moves out of range.
Bot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A head kick misses from Adamson.
Bot takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Adamson throws a head kick that half lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bot shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Adamson as he jumps to the side.
Adamson tries for a takedown but Bot sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Adamson misses with a takedown attempt - Bot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
No luck for Bot with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wrestling Bot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Adamson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bot defends it nicely.

Adamson tries to sprawl but Bot drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ground and pound from Bot.
Adamson wants to get back to full guard.

Adamson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bot.

Adamson lands a couple of sideways elbows.
Bot looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Bot looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Adamson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Adamson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Adamson is trying to get back to full guard.

Bot trying to work for an americana but Adamson has managed to regain full guard.
Bot content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Adamson has his foot on Bot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bot works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adamson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Adamson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bot defends well.
Bot chips away with some ground and pound.
Bot missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Adamson keeping moving, preventing Bot from controlling successfully.
Bot throws a strike but Adamson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bot looking for a sweep. Not yet Bot, not yet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bot is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Adamson looking for submissions off his back.

Bot looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Adamson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Adamson wants to control but Bot is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bot slows the pace down in half guard.
Bot scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Bot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Adamson keeps working.
Bot scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Bot tries to pass the half guard into mount. Adamson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Adamson is looking for a sweep. Bot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bot wants to pass the guard but Adamson is defending well.
Bot is stalling here. Adamson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bot seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Adamson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Adamson tries to clinch up.
Adamson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Adamson lands with a kick to the ribs.

Bot closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Adamson's guard.
Bot throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Adamson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bot is one step ahead there.
Bot in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Adamson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bot defends it easily.

Bot stands and steps away. Adamson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Adamson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bot's head.
Adamson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Adamson fails with the takedown.
No joy there for Bot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Adamson delivers a nice body kick.

Bot drives through with a takedown into Adamson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Adamson is on top in guard.

Bot is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bot throws a big right hand that misses.
Bot slips nicely into half guard.
Bot throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Adamson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Adamson is looking to improve his position.
Bot missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Bot prevents Adamson from improving his position.
Bot passes the guard and advances to mount!
Adamson is desperately trying to improve his position but Bot has a good base and remains in mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bot has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Adamson's face.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bot looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Bot pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Adamson is rocked!
Bot postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Adamson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Bot around the waist but Bot pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Bot is the winner by TKO! Bot jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wrestling Bot!
A very excited looking Wrestling Bot made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
