Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Emanuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emanuel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Wizard by Black Sabbath kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh throws a body punch but Emanuel moves out of range.
Emanuel moves in looking to clinch but Marsh pushes him off.
Marsh slips a straight right by Emanuel.

Marsh looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sloppy strikes from Emanuel. Those never looked like landing.
Marsh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Emanuel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Emanuel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Emanuel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marsh was well out of range. Poor timing from Emanuel.

Marsh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Emanuel manages to avoid it.

and Marsh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Emanuel won't be happy with that.

Emanuel sneaks out the side door and pushes Marsh away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Emanuel wants to get back to his feet but Marsh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Marsh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Emanuel wants to control from the top but Marsh keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Matthew Emanuel wasn't active enough on the ground.
Emanuel throws a hook but Marsh blocks it.
Emanuel avoids the body shot from Marsh.
Emanuel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marsh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Marsh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Emanuel's waist but Emanuel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marsh off to one side.

Marsh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Emanuel pinned against the cage. Emanuel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Marsh shoots in looking for a takedown. Emanuel tries to sprawl out of it but Marsh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emanuel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Marsh moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A head kick from Emanuel lands but Marsh takes it in his stride.

It looks like Randy Marsh has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Emanuel and Marsh are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Emanuel throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Marsh into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Emanuel knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
