Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick James!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James lands a two punch combo.
James throws a hook but McGee avoids it easily.

McGee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

McGee decides to stand back up.
No luck for McGee with that takedown attempt.

McGee has closed the distance and engaged James in a clinch.
Nice body punch from McGee.

McGee is trying to trip James. He has hold of a leg but James is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McGee persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

James pushes McGee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
McGee is on the wrong end of a nice combination from James.
James throws a series of punches but McGee avoids them all with ease.
McGee looks for a takedown but James sprawls well.

McGee rushes James and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
James tries for a takedown. No joy.

McGee jumps into guard, dragging James to the mat.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
James has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes McGee off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James sneaks out the side door and pushes McGee away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

James stalks McGee and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McGee's face. McGee staggers backwards, shaken.
James lands a jab to the nose.
James scores with a shot to the body.

McGee rushes James and presses him up against the cage.

James changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McGee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
McGee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McGee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McGee lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
James goes for a takedown in the clinch but McGee prevents it.

McGee is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. James can't fight it off and eventually McGee manages to take the fight to the floor. James looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

McGee closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McGee lands in his opponent's guard.

James is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, McGee asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

James fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McGee looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McGee takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
