The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Morris.

Morris tries to keep at a distance but Skelton has taken the fight into the clinch.
Skelton lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Skelton throws a body punch but Morris moves out of range.

Morris needs to keep his hands up - Skelton had a free shot at his head there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Morris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Manny Skelton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skelton shoots for a double leg takedown but Morris sprawls well. He's pushed Skelton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Skelton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Morris manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Skelton has Morris in his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Skelton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Skelton manages to end up in side control.

Morris has his foot on Skelton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Skelton works his way back into a safe position though.
