PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Templeton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William Templeton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Josh Williams!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Templeton is looking to control Williams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Templeton avoid being mounted?
Williams is stalling here. Templeton is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Williams seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Templeton has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Templeton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground.
Templeton is staying tight to Williams's torso, preventing him from escaping.
You can see the frustration on Williams's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Williams wants to work for an arm triangle but Templeton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Templeton is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Williams locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Templeton is forced to tap!
