Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Davi Melo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sher Wood!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Melo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Melo misses with a double jab.
Melo cracks Wood with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wood tries to work over Melo's front leg with a kick but Melo checks it.
Wood misses with a body kick.
Melo defending well as Wood loads up on a big left hand.
Wood shoots in but Melo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Melo blocks a jab.
Wood cracks the inside of Melo's front leg.
Melo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Melo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Melo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wood manages to avoid it.
Wood bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Melo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wood.
No joy there for Melo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wood feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Melo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wood on the ground.

Melo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Wood takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Melo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Melo connects with a right hand. Wood shakes it off.
Melo punishes Wood's body with a nice straight punch.
