Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicky Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez just misses with a punch to the body.
Fernandez lands with a hook. Archer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fernandez, right into the meat.
Fernandez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Archer.

Archer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Archer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Fernandez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Archer's waist but Archer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fernandez off to one side.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Aaron Archer wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Archer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fernandez defends it nicely.
Archer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fernandez.
Fernandez clobbers Archer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fernandez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Archer. That did some damage!

Fernandez throws a shot from downtown. Archer moves away and avoids it.
Archer dives in and grabs Fernandez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fernandez pushes down on Archer's head and hops out.
Fernandez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Archer is fending him off so far but Fernandez persists. Nope, Archer circles away and we're back to standing.

Archer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fernandez tries to avoid it but Archer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fernandez to the ground. Fernandez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fernandez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fernandez is looking to take a break and control but Archer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aaron Archer decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
