Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Jakort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chay Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by As I Lay Dying - Through Struggle. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis cracks a nice hook into Jakort's ribs.
Willis throws a body punch but Jakort moves out of range.
Jakort tries to clinch but Willis moves away
and Willis counters with a two punch combo.

Willis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jakort is trying to defend but Willis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Willis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jakort throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jakort won't allow Willis to pass to mount.

Jakort has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Willis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jakort is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Willis is aware though and is defending well.
Willis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jakort swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jakort throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Willis escapes and throws Jakort's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Willis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Willis slips a nice elbow through Jakort's hands, connecting with Jakort's forehead.
