Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Salvatore Lucania (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeru Yamasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucania has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Takeru Yamasaki has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucania finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Yamasaki dives in and grabs Lucania's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lucania pushes down on Yamasaki's head and hops out.
Yamasaki tries to bum rush Lucania with a series of wild strikes but Lucania uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lucania will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Yamasaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lucania leaves Yamasaki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Yamasaki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lucania - the referee stops the clock and Yamasaki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lucania. Yamasaki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A head kick misses from Yamasaki.
Yamasaki rushes Lucania and presses him up against the cage.
Yamasaki has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lucania uses from the top position.
Yamasaki has his feet on Lucania's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Yamasaki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Yamasaki lands in his opponent's guard.

Yamasaki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yamasaki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yamasaki thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Yamasaki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lucania with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Yamasaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lucania tries to avoid it but Yamasaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lucania to the ground. Lucania escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Yamasaki uses his free foot to push down on Lucania's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lucania.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Takeru Yamasaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
