Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justus Sheehan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Turilli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheehan comes to the cage accompanied by Devil. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Luca Turilli was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turilli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sheehan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Turilli misses with a shot to the body

so Sheehan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sheehan postures up in Turilli's guard and throws a big left but Turilli blocks it.
Turilli wants to stand up but Sheehan is controlling him.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Turilli holds on and takes a little breather.

Turilli uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Turilli throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sheehan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Turilli sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Turilli breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sheehan closes the distance and clinches up with Turilli, looking for a takedown. Sheehan pushes Turilli against the cage but Turilli circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sheehan is looking for a kimura but Turilli is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sheehan to get the leverage.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sheehan in particular looking to stall.

Sheehan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Turilli does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Justus Sheehan will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Turilli thows a body shot but no joy.
Sheehan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turilli tries to avoid it but Sheehan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turilli to the ground. Turilli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Sheehan with that takedown attempt.
Sheehan shoots in for a takedown but Turilli shows good takedown defense.

Luca Turilli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turilli rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sheehan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sheehan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Justus Sheehan has been cut.

Turilli has managed to clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Turilli.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Sheehan cracks Turilli with a nice body shot.
Sheehan has Turilli pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Turilli manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Turilli gets underhooks to prevent Sheehan's takedown attempt.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Turilli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Sheehan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Turilli won't be happy with that.
Sheehan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turilli keeps working.

Turilli has one of Sheehan's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
You can see the frustration on Turilli's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sheehan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Turilli rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sheehan's guard! Nice work there by Turilli!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Luca Turilli was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Turilli lands a really nice looking cross but Sheehan seems unphased.

Sheehan shoots in for a double leg but Turilli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sheehan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Turilli sprawls well initially but Sheehan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sheehan is just content to waste time from the top position. Turilli takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Sheehan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Turilli avoids it really well and circles away.

Sheehan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Turilli scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sheehan doesn't seem bothered though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sheehan dives in and grabs Turilli's left leg, looking for a takedown. Turilli pushes down on Sheehan's head and hops out.
Turilli connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Sheehan covering up! Turilli comes in with a big uppercut and Sheehan goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
