Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Davi Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trang Troc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troc has chosen Dr. Octagon- Real Raw as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Troc connects with a body shot that sends Alves's belly button to the back.
Troc looks to land a left hand but Alves moved out of range nicely.
Nice shot lands for Alves.
Alves fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alves throws a body punch but Troc moves out of range.
Troc throws a wild body kick that Alves sees coming a mile off.
Alves thuds his right hand into Troc's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Troc moves forwards but Alves connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Troc works the jab nicely.
Troc walks into a straight right hand from Alves.
Troc dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alves throws a lazy right hand but Troc sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alves moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Alves thows a left - swing and a miss!
Alves shoots in for a takedown but Troc shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Troc misses with a straight right.

Alves takes a swing at Troc's ribcage but misses.
Troc connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Alves closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Troc quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Alves seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Alves not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Alves trying to control from half guard but Troc is working away.

Alves is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Troc doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alves.
Troc wants to control but Alves is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Alves throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Alves is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alves missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Alves advances position into side control!
Alves creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Troc sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Alves is trying to get an arm triangle but Troc is defending well.
Alves tries to advance to mount but Troc denies him.

Alves is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Troc knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Troc is not content to let Alves control the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Alves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The strikes coming from Alves are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Troc is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Troc manages to avoid it.

Troc moves into range and clinches up with Alves.
Alves is trying to break the clinch but Troc is controlling him.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Troc.
Troc struggles to land a body shot inside as Alves controls his hands.
Alves with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Alves tries to land knees in the clinch but Troc avoids the damage to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Alves's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alves misses with a hook.
Troc checks a leg kick nicely.
Alves throws a leg kick but Troc moved away.
A telegraphed right hand from Alves misses the target.
Alves misses with a takedown attempt - Troc sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alves takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Alves lands a jab to Troc's midsection.
Troc drops Alves with a big left hand! Alves is injured, injured bad! Troc jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Trang Troc is the new featherweight champion!
A relieved looking Trang Troc thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
