Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Amarena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alfredo Amarena!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a shot from downtown. Amarena moves away and avoids it.
Alfredo Amarena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Amarena feints and as Anderson raises his hands in defense, Amarena changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Anderson, not yet.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Amarena from controlling successfully.
Anderson controls Amarena momentarily but Amarena frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Randy Anderson.

Amarena looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Amarena sits in half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Anderson is keen to just control but Amarena is a slippery customer.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy Anderson will probably get the nod.

Amarena shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Anderson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Anderson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Amarena controls the pace.

Alfredo Amarena has got the better of the ground game so far.
Anderson is controlling Amarena's trapped leg to prevent Amarena from advancing to side control.

Amarena seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Still in the clinch, Anderson scores with a nice short uppercut.
Anderson swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Amarena is looking to take this one to the mat.
Randy Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alfredo Amarena.

Amarena is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing.

Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amarena keeps working.
Anderson is looking to stall here but Amarena recovers full guard.

Amarena is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Anderson won't allow Amarena to sweep him here.

Amarena has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Amarena.

Anderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A close second round but Alfredo Amarena will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Amarena closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Amarena is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Amarena can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Anderson is looking to escape.
Anderson tries to control the position but Amarena now has his back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Amarena's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Amarena has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Anderson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Anderson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Amarena has worked his arm free - good work by Amarena!
Anderson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Amarena's legs.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Alfredo Amarena.
I think Amarena has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
