Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reem Davey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Oshioke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Reem Davey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Oshioke!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oshioke tries to avoid it but Davey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oshioke to the ground. Oshioke escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Davey shoots for a double leg takedown but Oshioke sprawls well. He's pushed Davey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Davey lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Davey looks to throw a body kick

and Oshioke counters with a single leg into guard. Davey didn't expect that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Davey looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Oshioke passes into side control.

Oshioke stands up and beckons Davey to his feet.
Davey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Oshioke as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reem Davey. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oshioke looking to score a takedown here. Davey is defending well but Oshioke drives through and ends up in Davey's guard.
Davey throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davey working a defensive guard but Oshioke manages to pass into side control anyway.
Davey tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Davey is breathing heavily.
Davey reaches up to try and control the position but Oshioke seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Davey rolls and tries to escape and now Oshioke has his back!

Davey is keeping busy.

Oshioke decides to get back to his feet. A strange decision but one that the crowd certainly appreciate.

Davey clinches up with Oshioke and pushes him back against the cage.
Oshioke is looking to take this one to the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davey is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Davey is trying to break the clinch but Oshioke is controlling him.

Davey pulls guard successfully.

Davey is trying to keep Oshioke in close.

Oshioke stands up and waves to Davey to follow him.
Davey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Oshioke misses with a takedown attempt - Davey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Oshioke shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davey as he jumps to the side.
Davey tries to clinch up but Oshioke circles away and keeps his distance.
Oshioke slaps away a takedown attempt from Davey, before circling back to the center of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Oshioke shoots in and drives through. Davey sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hiro Oshioke dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Davey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davey wants it to stay on the feet.
Davey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Davey fails to land the takedown.
Oshioke shoots in looking for a takedown but Davey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oshioke's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Davey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oshioke sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davey somewhat.

Davey throws a right and a left that Oshioke avoids nicely.
Oshioke shoots in but Davey avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Oshioke has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Davey after a bit of a struggle.

Oshioke has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Davey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Oshioke keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davey's efforts to push away.
Davey prevents the takedown attempt.

Davey is trying to trip Oshioke. He has hold of a leg but Oshioke is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Davey persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Oshioke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oshioke is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Davey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oshioke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Davey has managed to get both his arms back between Oshioke's legs - danger averted.
Davey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oshioke on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oshioke has his foot on Davey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davey works his way back into a safe position though.

Hiro Oshioke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Reem Davey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Davey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oshioke has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davey is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Davey is trying to push Oshioke away but Oshioke has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Davey changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Oshioke fights it off and pushes away nicely.
