Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saadi Al Fayyad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Rebel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Fayyad's entrance music is Desert Storm. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Fayyad looks for the body kick but Rebel saw that one coming.

Rebel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rebel shoots for a double leg takedown but Al Fayyad sprawls well. He's pushed Rebel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

With the fighters up against the cage, Al Fayyad throws an elbow but misses.
Al Fayyad is pressed up against the cage. Rebel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Al Fayyad down to the mat. Al Fayyad avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rebel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Al Fayyad tries to avoid it but Rebel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Al Fayyad to the ground. Al Fayyad escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rebel crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Al Fayyad - the referee stops the clock and Rebel gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Al Fayyad. Rebel manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
