The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beatdown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Velazquez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Velazquez swats away the attempt to clinch by Beatdown.
Hypertrophic Beatdown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beatdown has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Beatdown there as he acknowledges the shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beatdown displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Velazquez throws out the jab.
Beatdown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Velazquez cracks Beatdown with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Velazquez has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Beatdown to stand back up!

Velazquez drops Beatdown with a huge uppercut! Beatdown drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Velazquez is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
