Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jhonny Dos Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Lachance!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos gets caught napping as Lachance dives in and scores a takedown. Dos Santos manages to retain guard.
Lachance stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dos Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dos Santos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lachance controls the pace.
Dos Santos is pulling down on Lachance's head. It's preventing any offense from Lachance, at least for the moment.

Lachance has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dos Santos's face.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lachance is looking for a kimura but Dos Santos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lachance to get the leverage.

Lachance has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dos Santos's face.
Lachance really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dos Santos is trying to control Lachance's posture but Lachance avoids it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lachance scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dos Santos to see if he's OK.

Well Lachance has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
