Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Laxa Tiv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiv's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Animal I have become - Three Days Grace. Cain Velasquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tiv tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Velasquez is in Tiv's guard.

Tiv has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Velasquez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Velasquez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tiv was covering up waiting for the punch and Velasquez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Velasquez trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiv is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Velasquez won't allow Tiv to get back to his feet.

Tiv uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Velasquez misses with a double jab.
Tiv throws a series of punches but Velasquez avoids them all with ease.
Velasquez tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tiv throws a front kick that sends Velasquez stumbling back into the cage.
Velasquez looks gassed!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Velasquez.
A good leg kick by Tiv.
A head kick from Tiv lands but Velasquez takes it in his stride.

It looks like Cain Velasquez has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Left hook, right uppercut from Tiv.
Tiv connects with an inside leg kick.
Tiv lands with a big left! Velasquez is wobbled badly! Tiv comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Velasquez to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Laxa Tiv!
In his post fight interview, Laxa Tiv started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
