The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stranglov pinned against the cage. Stranglov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stranglov tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range.

Smith goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stranglov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Smith but great work by Stranglov.

Stranglov moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Stranglov tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.

Stranglov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stranglov lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Smith is looking to close the distance but Stranglov sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Smith crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Smith is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
