Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Spitteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Spitteri might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Before I Forget. Alexandr Nevsky has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sean Spitteri's chin.

With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexandr Nevsky!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nevsky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spitteri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nevsky wants to sweep here but Spitteri controlling him for the moment.

Spitteri drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spitteri jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nevsky has Spitteri pulled in close to control his posture.

Nevsky drops back looking for a leg! Spitteri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spitteri manages to kick Nevsky off! Nevsky jumps back into Spitteri's guard.

Spitteri had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nevsky defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nevsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spitteri swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nevsky is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Spitteri's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Spitteri's back!
I really don't envy Spitteri right now.
Nevsky is trying to stick to Spitteri's back but Spitteri is turning into Nevsky. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nevsky's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Spitteri.
