Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duane McBride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBride tries to clinch up.
McBride is looking to clinch.
McBride shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl out of it but McBride keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sanchez drives through and clinches with McBride against the cage.
Sanchez goes for a takedown in the clinch but McBride prevents it.
Sanchez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McBride's efforts to push away.
McBride wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage.
Sanchez throws an elbow but it's blocked.
McBride tries to break the clinch but Sanchez is controlling the position.
Sanchez stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as McBride takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
McBride wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sanchez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McBride avoids it.

Sanchez gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Sanchez is looking to take a break and control but McBride is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McBride looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McBride connects with a couple of short punches.

McBride stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Sanchez has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! McBride manages to get his head free but now Sanchez has transitioned to an armbar! McBride grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Sanchez! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
