The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Machine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thornburn but Thornburn pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Thornburn postures up in The Machine's guard and throws a big left but The Machine blocks it.

The Machine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thornburn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thornburn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Thornburn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Thornburn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Thornburn wants to lay and pray for a moment but The Machine keeps working.

The Machine looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Thornburn is defending well. The Machine quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Thornburn has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! The Machine celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
