Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kesey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Kesey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Harris!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kesey clinches up with Harris and pushes him back against the cage.

Kesey is trying to trip Harris. He has hold of a leg but Harris is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kesey persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Kesey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Harris is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kesey is aware though and is defending well.
Kesey won't allow Harris to get back to his feet.
Kesey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Ken Kesey has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Kesey rushes Harris and presses him up against the cage.

Kesey gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kesey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground.

Kesey seems to be working for a kimura but Harris defends the submission attempt.

Kesey is looking for a kimura but Harris is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kesey to get the leverage.

Kesey wants to free his trapped foot but Harris is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris wants to control but Kesey is keeping busy.

Kesey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kesey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kesey creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Harris's defenses.


It looks like Brad Harris has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kesey.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kesey takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kesey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kesey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kesey tries to free his leg and advance position but Harris is retaining full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kesey makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris wants to sweep here but Kesey controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Harris lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Harris stalling in the clinch but Kesey improves position.
Harris pushes off an throws an elbow but Kesey leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Harris with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Kesey unloads a knee to the mid-section. Harris lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kesey lands a knee to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kesey lands an elbow inside that Harris shrugs off.
Kesey lands an elbow that stopped Harris in his tracks for a moment.


That has opened up Brad Harris's cut even more.
Kesey lands a nice knee to the body.
Kesey lands a good knee to the midsection. Harris won't want to take too many of those.
Harris looking to throw knees to the head but Kesey is blocking nicely.
Kesey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harris can do to turn this around?
Harris is breathing heavily.

Kesey is pushing Harris up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Harris tries to circle away but Kesey has him pinned against the cage.

Harris pushes off an throws an elbow but Kesey leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Brad Harris's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brad Harris's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ken Kesey!
