The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong tries to bum rush Bouwer with a series of wild strikes but Bouwer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Bouwer clinches up with Kong and pushes him back against the cage.

The crowd are getting on Bouwer's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bouwer connects with a nice short shot to Kong's temple.

Bouwer drops back looking for a leg! Kong is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kong manages to kick Bouwer off! Bouwer jumps back into Kong's guard.

Bouwer throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kong uses it to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kong stands up and beckons Bouwer to his feet.

and Bouwer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kong's guard now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kong is on top in guard.

Leonie Bouwer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bouwer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
