With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zhelyazko Velilkov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velilkov looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A slapping leg kick lands for Silva.
Silva's jab looks to have found its range, popping Velilkov under the eye.

It looks like Zhelyazko Velilkov has been cut.
Velilkov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Velilkov on the side of the head.

Velilkov shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Silva throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Velilkov on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Velilkov shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Velilkov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Velilkov shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Velilkov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Velilkov eats them both and turns towards Silva to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Velilkov shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Velilkov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Silva lands a left and a right that send Velilkov crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
