The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gauge uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rourke wants to clinch up but Gauge keeps it at a distance.

Gauge lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rourke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gauge paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rourke takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rourke's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gauge connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rourke scrambles back to his feet.
Gauge is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Gauge tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rourke is able to avoid easily.

Gauge is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
