Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector Alves is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gray Maynard!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves wants to clinch.
Maynard throws a combination that misses
and Alves counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Maynard misses with a looping right.
Maynard takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Alves bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ground and pound from Alves seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Maynard tries to buck Alves off but Alves is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maynard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alves misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maynard, who protects the arm well.

Alves has an Americana. Maynard didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Alves is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Alves hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
