These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Rosa wants to clinch
and Vasserman counters with a head kick.
Vasserman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but De La Rosa was well out of range. Poor timing from Vasserman.
De La Rosa fails to land with a series of punches.
Vasserman feints and then cracks De La Rosa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow De La Rosa down.

De La Rosa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Vasserman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
