The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Alves misses.
Alves throws a right hand that Slayer ducks under and follows up with a left that Slayer also avoids with ease.
Alves lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Slayer throws an overhand right that lands on Alves's shoulder, as Alves tries to avoid the shot.
Alves lands a head shot.
A jab from Slayer finds it's way through Alves's defenses.
Slayer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Alves lands a nice looking body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sloppy strikes from Alves. Those never looked like landing.
Alves ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Slayer lands a jab to the nose.
Alves throws a jab but it's blocked by Slayer.
Slayer throws a hook but Alves avoids it easily.
Alves closes this distance looking for a takedown but Slayer circles away.
Alves shoots in and drives through. Slayer sprawls well.
Alves uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slayer.
Left hook, right uppercut from Slayer.
Slayer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alves throws out the jab.
Slayer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Slayer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Alves counters with a stiff right hand.

Slayer is rocked!

It looks like Super Slayer has been cut.

Alves looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Oh Slayer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Slayer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Slayer tries to get out of the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alves connects with a nice short shot to Slayer's temple.
Alves lands a big elbow - Slayer is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Alves!
