Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cung Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex pletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cung Le had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le tries for a takedown but pletcher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Le tries to clinch but pletcher is having none of it.
pletcher gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so Le counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Le stands and throws pletcher's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A lull in the action here.

pletcher manages to work his way to half guard, despite Le's best efforts.

Le throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and pletcher counters with a shoot takedown. Le fights it but they end up in guard.

Le working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. pletcher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. pletcher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Le had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. pletcher is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Le Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take pletcher's back instead.

pletcher covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Le is looking to control pletcher but pletcher is wriggling around and keeping busy.

pletcher won't enjoy being in this position. Le looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - pletcher is tapping - it's over boys! Le picks up the submission victory!
