Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Burza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Burza's choice of entrance music: Metallica - Enter Sandman. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Burza!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a lazy uppercut

and Burza counters with a shoot takedown. Steel fights it but they end up in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Steel pulls Burza in to control the position.
Steel is trying to keep Burza in close.
Steel throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Burza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Steel keeping moving, preventing Burza from controlling successfully.
Steel looking to control.

Chuck Steel has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Steel misses with a body shot.
Burza displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steel throws out the jab.
Burza slips under a jab from Steel.
Burza misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Steel scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Chuck Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burza avoids the head kick by Steel.
Nice cross by Steel.
Steel tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Burza is able to avoid easily.

Steel gets a takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Steel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burza on the ground.
Steel prevents Burza from improving his position.
Steel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burza keeps working.
Burza trying to hold on to Steel's head to control him but Steel postures up.
Burza moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Burza has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Steel should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Burza has tightened it up now! Steel should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). John Burza!
John Burza opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
