Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jigoro Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jigoro Gutz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Boyd!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gutz backs up against the cage.
Boyd throws a sloppy head kick and Gutz moves out of range easily.
Gutz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boyd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gutz is in Boyd's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyd isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gutz stacks Boyd on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gutz!
Gutz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gutz has hold of Boyd's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Boyd tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gutz cranks the arm and Boyd screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Boyd, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jigoro Gutz!
