Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Birk Smygare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson has chosen Burn in My Light as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson misses with a takedown attempt - Smygare sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Smygare moves in looking to clinch but Wilson pushes him off.
Smygare takes a swing at Wilson's ribcage but misses.
Smygare just misses with a punch to the body.
Wilson shoots in but Smygare avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Smygare shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smygare lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Smygare wants to clinch.
Wilson stuffs the takedown.

Wilson tries to score a body lock takedown but Smygare shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smygare throws a series of strikes that have Wilson backpedaling.

Wilson forces Smygare back against the cage and clinches.

Wilson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Smygare gets the underhooks and prevents it.

An inside leg kick lands from Wilson.
Smygare doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Wilson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Smygare is really struggling to control Wilson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Wilson wants to pass the guard but Smygare is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Smygare counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Smygare shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Wilson is on queer street and Smygare is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
