Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frodo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Worner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frodo Baggins could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Austin Worner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frodo Baggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Worner!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worner fails with the takedown
and Baggins counters with a straight right hand.
Worner shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Baggins closes the distance and clinches.

Baggins jumps guard and drags Worner to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Baggins scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Baggins manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Worner on his heels. He'll look to pass Worner's guard now, I'm sure.
Baggins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Worner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Worner tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Worner wants to get back to his feet but Baggins is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Baggins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Worner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Baggins content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Worner is pressing down on Baggins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Baggins lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Baggins is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Baggins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Baggins instigates a clinch.

Baggins has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Worner is trying to keep an underhook but Baggins manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Worner is looking for a sweep. Baggins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Worner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Baggins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Baggins's back!

Worner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Worner thows a huge punch but Baggins dodges it nicely.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Worner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Baggins has momentary wrist control but Worner slips an elbow through the middle.
Worner takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Baggins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Worner on the ground.
Baggins wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Austin Worner has got the better of the ground game so far.
Worner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Baggins's guard.

Austin Worner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Worner shoots in looking for a takedown. Baggins tries to sprawl out of it but Worner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baggins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Baggins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baggins lands in his opponent's guard.
Baggins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Baggins is looking to stand up but Worner won't let him.
Worner being controlled here, momentarily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Worner wants to sweep here but Baggins controlling him for the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Frodo Baggins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Worner wants to clinch.

so Baggins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Baggins showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Baggins postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Worner throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Worner pushes Baggins off and scrambles back to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Baggins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Baggins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Baggins.
Frodo Baggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Worner.

Baggins slows down the pace here.

Baggins wants the takedown. Worner is fighting it off but Baggins persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Worner's guard against the cage.

Baggins gets to his feet - Worner follows without any prompting.
Worner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Baggins is fending him off so far but Worner persists. Nope, Baggins circles away and we're back to standing.
Worner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baggins circles away quickly and effectively.

Baggins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Baggins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Worner moves into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Well Baggins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
