The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black closes the distance looking to clinch
and Wright counters with a straight right hand.
Horrible takedown by Black or perhaps it was just good defense by Wright which made him look bad.
Black misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wright could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wright pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wright swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Black.
Wright cracks Black with a good jab.
Wright moves out of range of the strikes.
Wright looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wright moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Wright stuns Black with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wright slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Wright jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wright will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wright lands with a hook. Black tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wright lands a nice shot to the body.

Wright lands a left and a right that send Black crashing to the mat, dazed. Wright thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Black is rocked!

Wright walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Black drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Wright swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Black's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
