The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warmaster displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Goodridge.
Goodridge looks to throw the jab but Warmaster is out of range.

Warmaster looks like he's trying to stand up.

Warmaster wants to get back to his feet.

Goodridge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Goodridge is looking for a kimura but Warmaster is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Goodridge to get the leverage.

Goodridge stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Warmaster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Warmaster is looking to stand up but Goodridge isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Goodridge thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Warmaster is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Warmaster pushes Goodridge away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Goodridge gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Goodridge has hold of Warmaster's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Warmaster tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Goodridge cranks the arm and Warmaster screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Warmaster, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
